 During the middle school experience Art 1 students are exposed to lessons that focus on the "Elements and Principles of design", as well as "Color Theory". Art 2 students build on the previous knowledge with focus on "Mixed Media". New ideas and projects are explored on a regular basis.

6th Grade Art


Sixth grade student lessons include: Foil line design, Line color and texture, Color wheels and Monochromatic paintings. Various painting techniques, use of pastels and oit pastel resist are also included.

7th Grade Art


Seventh grade students lessons include: Lettering styles, Applying value with colored pencil, Use of technology to enhance mixed media self portraits, and Color wheels that incorparate tints, hues and shades.

8th Grade Art


Eigth grade lessons include: Overlapping initials that incorparte depth, color, value, texture and pattern. Shattered self portraits incorparte warm and cool color schemes while mixing mediums. Radiating color wheels focus on radial symmetry as well as tints hues and shades.
